Taylor Swift to testify in sexual assualt case against fired radio DJ

The singer will testify in court against her aggressor

‘Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek.’ This is part of a taped deposition against radio DJ David Mueller made by Taylor Swift one year ago. ‘It was completely intentional,’ she added. ‘I’ve never been so sure of anything in my life.’ The alleged assault was captured in this photo published by TMZ.

The incident occurred at a meet-and-greet in Denver in 2013, but it wasn’t until last year that the singer went public about it. The DJ was fired from the radio station after Swift’s team presented its evidence to KYGO management. Mueller retaliated by filing a civil lawsuit against the singer, accusing her of slander. Swift hit back at the DJ with a countersuit of sexual assault and battery.

Pre-trial documents suggest that Swift will testify in person against Mueller. Swift’s mother, bodyguard and the photographer will also serve as witnesses. ‘Ms. Swift … will testify at trial, that (radio talk show host David) Mueller “put his hand under (her) dress and grabbed (her) bare ass,”‘ according to a motion filed Wednesday in US District Court in Denver by her three Washington, D.C. attorneys.

The trial is set to begin on August 7.
