65 pounds of marijuana found by Florida residents in Amazon order

A huge pile of weed landed in the hands of two unsuspecting customers

Have you ever wondered what 65 pounds of marijuana looks like? Well now you don’t have to.

Imagine the surprise when a couple from Orlando, Florida, opened their Amazon package to discover a shit tonne of high grade weed. Rather than sit down and smoke a load like some (most?) people would, the residents decided to call the police.

The unhappy shoppers said they ordered some storage containers from the online marketplace, but when their shipment arrived they knew something was wrong.

‘We love Amazon and do a lot of shopping on Amazon,’ one of the customers, who did not want to be named, told WFTV. ‘They were extremely heavy, heavier than you would think from ordering four empty bins.’

The couple also admitted they were ‘fearful our home would be broken into, and we didn’t sleep there for a few days’ after the order arrived. Some might say that was a bit of an overreaction, but there you go.

Amazon have reportedly been exchanging emails about the suspect package with the recipients, and the couple say they were sent an $150 gift card with a message that read: ‘I am unable to do anything else at this time.’

But that wasn’t sufficient for the inadvertent drug possessors. They want an apology from Amazon because ‘there was no concern for a customer’s safety. I mean, this could have turned into a worst-case scenario.’

Whatever worst-case scenario is. A lot of people would see this is a best-case scenario, to be honest.
